On-the-go electricity supply for powering small appliances?

I just want to be able to play my guitar on the road… I was wondering if there are portable electric supply units that I can use just to play it and power small appliances — I’m not looking for generators, I’m just looking for something portable that works good enough as a replacement for a wall socket when on the go

Black appliances with white small appliances?

We’re in a new house, and alll the large kitchen appliances are really nice, new, and black. While they are beautiful, I so miss being surrounded by white appliances! I don’t want to change them, but would it look entirely tacky to use white for toaster, coffeemaker, etc, with everything else black?
One other point: we plan on purchasing new small appliances; trying to hold on to the old ones is not the point, but the COLOR of the new ones is what I’m after. I do agree about keeping some out of sight! Thank you very much for your time!

I want to plug some of my small appliances into a surge/lightening protector. The manual of two of them say to plug directly into the outlet. I would think that this is a liability issue because many people use that .95 extension cord to plug three appliances into the wall. Can I use a surge protector???
