What is the best EQ setting for listening to metal on iTunes/iPods?

iTunes (and iPods as well) have a 10-band equalizer with various settings which are specified to certain genres. I listen to primarily metal and heavy rock. Normally I listen to my music on either the Loudness or Rock presets, and they sound pretty good but not spectacular. Is there a setting that would sound better, or could you suggest a custom setting that would sound good?
