    Saw three huge birds in my backyard, what could they be?

    I saw three huge primarily black birds in the trees in my backyard in Maryland just south of Baltimore. They were black and had red heads and/or beaks, bright red. When they flew off, they had some gray coloration underneath.

    A birds nest with an egg (blue clored) has fallen from a tree in my backyard, what can I do to save the egg.?

    I am not sure of what brach the nest fell off. This is a big oak tree. Should I just take a ladder and put the nest back on any branch? Will the mother bird come back to incubate the egg? This was after a big storm tore through our town late Thur. night.

    Any suggestions are welcome, I would like to save this nest & egg and return it properly to the wild.
    Suggestions regarding what wildlife organization to contact will also be welcome. I tried calling a few like Orphans of the storm but they just take dogs and cats…

    Hi everyone, Im from India & i luv watching, listening & helping birds. Which is why i’ve decided 2 setup some birdhouses, bird-feeders & bird-baths as well. But, all the information given in the net is mostly about american birds…nothing about indian birds or in general. So, if there’s any good birder( indian birder will help) , I’d really appreciate it if u cud help me. I’d like 2 know if a backyard pond or a feeder is better? what are the various types of feeders & houses 4 birds & when & where do i put them? what food?

    What sort of steamer should I buy?

    I am a college student looking to furnish his first apartment & kitchen. I already have a basic set of pots and pans, a 12" wok and all the cutlery imaginable. I really am looking for a steamer that I could use to steam vegetables. I just want something that comes with its own pot/pan or that i can stick over one of my other pots/wok.

    Where in the heck can you buy plastic patio furniture?

    I have looked everywhere..I just want the cheap, plastic patio sets with the tables (w/removable legs) & chairs… I have looked everywhere – Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. & I can’t find them on any of their websites. Do you think if I go into the stores I might find them? Help! Having housewarming BBQ in June & I have nowhere for people to sit outside.

    BTW…is it rude to ask guests to take of their shoes when they come in my house? LOL.
