I am a college student looking to furnish his first apartment & kitchen. I already have a basic set of pots and pans, a 12" wok and all the cutlery imaginable. I really am looking for a steamer that I could use to steam vegetables. I just want something that comes with its own pot/pan or that i can stick over one of my other pots/wok.

Any help is appreciated!

I’ve been to all kinds of restaurants in many countries. In some restaurants waiters/waitresses will change your original cutlery set for a clean one when you’re done with your first dish (e.g. entree or salad). In some other restaurants they will just put your forks/knives aside and leave the used cutlery on the table for you to use again on the main dish. Sometimes when I assume they will change my cutlery I leave my fork and knife on the plate and the waiter/waitress will take them off the plate and put them back on the table. Sometimes when I assume they will NOT change cutlery I leave my fork and knife on the table but then the waiter/waitress will put them on my used plate and take everything back to the kitchen and put a new cutlery set on the table. It’s a little bit embarrassing.

Is there a secret "code" or a way to find out whether or not your original cutlery set will be changed for a clean one without having to ask the waiters/waitresses in advance? Something like the fork/knife language that is used to rate the food you just had. Can you tell about the change of cutlery by the way the cutlery is set on the table?

No matter how rationally, logically or empathetically I point out the blaring obvious they continue accumulating junk (eg. books they don’t read, holding onto newspapers, cutlery when the kitchen’s already oversupplied). I’ve switched to yelling since all nice approaches have failed. I’m thinking of cutting that person out of my life (they value their junk over having friends or family).

There are quite a few Lizards in my house that surface during the night time only. A couple of times I’ve found them crawling on the cutlery in my Kitchen, and that really freaks me out. i have to wash all my plates, spoons etc everytime when I get up in the morning. These days a lot of young ones are also on the prowl. Is there a way to get rid of them?

When I went to the store or to cutlery websites, they had kitchen knives such as paring, chef’s (various lengths,) utility, santoku, slicing, boning, bread, carving, bird’s beak, and more. Which knife is the most versatile? What brand do you like? What is good steel for kitchen knives?

What do you think? Where can i get this cheap?
she was a husband and two boys ( boyfriend and younger brother) that are so rough with their plates so naturally they break.
